SUGGESTED CARE AND MAINTENANCE GUIDELINES
FOR YOUR DecTec DECK MEMBRANE
For beauty and longevity, some precautions should be followed:
-
Clean deck at least once a month. Just spray with a garden hose. If deck is severely soiled, use a mild detergent and a broom or brush. Then spray with a garden hose.
-
When barbecuing, make sure grease does not drip onto the membrane and that your catch trays are empty and in place on the BBQ. Clean any spills or drips up immediately. We recommend using pvc BBQ mats, or a scrap piece of membrane (if any were left over from your installation), to protect your new DecTec surface.
-
Remove contaminates as soon as possible.
-
Do not extinguish cigarettes on the DecTec. This will cause a small burn in the top of the membrane and will affect the aesthetics.
-
When removing snow, use a plastic shovel.
-
Always insure the bottom plugs are in the patio furniture so the membrane won't be cut by raw metal.
-
Generally be aware of and avoid sharp edges that may damage the membrane.
The above guidelines will not cover all potential situations, however with minimal precautions, you will be able to fully enjoy your DecTec patio for many years to come.
